Old Mashioned
Our Non-Alcoholic Old Fashioned Recipe
There’s something so classic and delectable about a good mixed drink. The Old Fashioned, with roots that go as far back as the late 1800s, is a perfect smokey beverage to unwind after a long day — or to use as the precipice to an equally long and fun night!
You probably didn’t know it, but the Old Fashioned is considered one of the earliest named cocktails and it is listed by the International Bartenders Association as part of their annual World Cocktail Competition!
For those who don’t have a taste for liquor, sober alternatives like Seir Hill’s spirits have made making a non-alcoholic Old Fashioned easier than ever.
Our secret is Mashville™. That’s our hand-crafted whiskey alternative, and the Old Fashioned Mocktail it can make is sure to turn any moment into an occasion.
Old Mashioned Ingredients
To make our version of a non-alcoholic Old Fashioned, you’ll need:

Old Fashioned Mocktail Variations
We love Mashville™ because it carries a lot of the same burns and flavor notes as alcoholic whiskey when used in mixed drinks. You’ll taste the profiles of clove and cider, that sweet and spicy warmth that makes whiskey-based cocktails so iconic. In making your non-alcoholic Old Fashioned with Mashville™, you can adjust it in any way you would with a traditional cocktail.
If you want to enhance your fruit game, you can skip the sundae cherries in their sickly-sweet syrup and go with a more traditional maraschino brand. Maybe you’re a purist that would rather go without muddled fruit. You can slide an orange peel around the rim and drop it in the amber cocktail or you can just stick with bitters.
However you take your Old Fashioned mocktail, we won’t judge. Making the switch to non-alcoholic mixed drinks allows you to keep in touch with the culture of now and then, and at Seir Hill, we believe that’s something worth toasting in itself!
